Business Liaison Officer
Location: Sydney
Brief Description of Role:
The main purpose of this role is to manage and be responsible to provide advice, promote and facilitate business development within the Railway industry. Develop and implement business and training programs that meet the needs of local businesses. Build strong relationships and assist key business groups within the industry. Liaise with key agencies including regional state and federal governments, to deliver and enhance services to the local business community. Conduct research and identify ways of improving services and projects to local businesses.

Qualifications:
- Professional engineering / diploma engineering qualifications (preferably in Electrical) and suitable training courses
- Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, PR, and Communications preferred
Responsibilities:
- Promote capability by participating in the development and continuous improvement of network access processes;
- Actively contribute to the strategic and operational development, growth and profitability of the team and the broader JMDR Group;
- Model and encourage others to actively demonstrate effective Safety, Quality and Environment leadership and effective risk management;
- Maintain close working relationships with Network Operations staff, building trust and fostering a team approach to resolving access or planning issues;
- Take reasonable care for personal safety and for the safety of people who may be affected by the rail safety worker's acts or omissions;
- Co-operate with the rail transport operator with respect to any action taken by the rail transport operator to comply with a requirement imposed by or under the rail safety worker's act or the regulations; and,
- Participate in the continuous improvement process across all work streams within Network Operations.
